Real easy and competent don't go hand in hand when it comes to data manipulation. I've used MS Word and Access for decades (part of the MS Office package). It was not easy, it was not intuitive, it was a ***** to tackle, but after a couple of months of kicking, screaming, cussing, and lots of visits to the confessional, I haven't seen any program with anywhere near the power and flexibility.

Cap -
I know MS Word and MS Access work well together but can MS Word contracts extract client data from MS Excel? Kinda like a mail-merge doc?

MS Word can use Excel although it's more of a spreadsheet program than Access which is a true database.

Thanks Cap, I figured it out and saved a blank contract with the fields predefined therein. You need to use the column headers as the variables, then in the blank contract you define the variables as <<header_name>>. You can select a single or multiple records from the spreadsheet.

Thanks and How you doing?
