Where to party for Super Bowl Sunday in Vegas??

The Riviera's party is actually pretty cool (as someone who has attended). It's the biggest superbowl party in vegas -- and they have former NFL players there for meet and greets, food and drink are included in the cost and they have 20 big projection screens (hd 12x7'), and line arrays hung...

FAIL: Custormer Service @ R.V. Nuccio & Associates, Inc

I don't have any experience with Nuccio, as we're a production company, and they wouldn't cover us when i was a member of the ADJA (to the best of my knowledge--they only do straight DJ work with their policies.) I do, however, have experience with our provider, Cincinnati Insurance, who's...

The Two Best Things I ever did for my business

I'm a multi-op--aplogies for not saying(I'm Ryan Burger's business partner on the Iowa-based production company). Those two things I listed have nothing to do with performance as a DJ; ideas and nuances to get better with that come from experience and networking, plus the excellent performance...

The Two Best Things I ever did for my business

    1. Consulting with Jason Weldon of Synergetic in Philadelphia. He's been my friend, business ally, confidant, and mentor for over a year now. His services aren't cheap for mentoring, but he's one of the best in the business and runs the most impressive operation I've ever seen. He does this...

    Las Vegas Sucks

While I agree the unions aren't ideal--they are surprisingly good to work with, have good attitudes (for the most part) and don't control our sound at all. In fact, we have taken back control at MBLV of every part of production, which allows our vendors (large manufacturers) to showcase off...

    IMHO

I'm a firm believer in the principle of Yin and Yang. In life, everything balances out, such as power. Citizens owning guns (and arming themselves to the teeth) keeps government in check and also keeps more crimes from being committed--in my opinion.

    Question: Denali/Suburban Vs. Windstar?

I honestly would go with a new or slightly used (within 1 year). the reason being piece of mind. Consider this -- with a 5 year note (it is better to go with a 3 year note and put 15-20% down) for $300 a month or so and routine maintenance you could have a vehicle for 10 years of reliability...

Mobile Beat announces our feature MBLV17 evening concert: Lou Gramm

Funny story. I went to see "Rock Of Ages" on Friday. it featured no less than 4 (FOUR!) Lou Gramm/Foreigner Songs.

Mobile Beat announces our feature MBLV17 evening concert: Lou Gramm

I've been to AC and seen the nighttime events--it's all opinion I guess. What I do know is this year we will have an opening night party Monday, which will most likely feature DJs. American DJs Customer Appreciation Party will be Tuesday, with details to be announced at a later time, and...

    Best Investments

    1. iPhone--everything I do I can do from anywhere because of it. All other devices are just pretenders.. 2. Quality staff. Without great team members, it is just a bunch of gear sitting in a warehouse. 3. An office. It shows people you reinvest into your business and that you have roots...

Mobile Beat announces our feature MBLV17 evening concert: Lou Gramm

They (all-stars style shows) "Jumped the Shark" awhile ago, just like big, obnoxious, nsync-style headset microphones. Unless your Phil Collins or Dean Castronova -- it's unnecessary...

We did a mock mitzvah this year as part of a seminar hosted by Bobby Morganstien and Big Daddy. If someone is looking for MC training, I might recommend Mark Ferrell's courses.

Mobile Beat announces our feature MBLV17 evening concert: Lou Gramm

I do understand. The acts that are at AC are there because of the Promo Only Summer Sessions, which is a radio-centered event that occurs next door to the Taj Mahal at the Showboat casino and at the convention center at the same time as the DJ Times show is occurring. Because the DJ show is...

Mobile Beat announces our feature MBLV17 evening concert: Lou Gramm

Lou Actually had a brain tumor about 10 years ago, which is the reason for the weight gain and his shortened shows then. Now he is singing as good or better than ever.

Mobile Beat announces our feature MBLV17 evening concert: Lou Gramm

By "work you to death," what are you implying? Neither Bill nor Ryan does the actual production of the night-time concerts (physical sound/lighting -- artist wrangling, timing, security), and Mike handles all of the arrangements with the acts -- i.e. making sure their accommodated...

Mobile Beat announces our feature MBLV17 evening concert: Lou Gramm

This is meant to be entertainment for your working vacation. This gentleman has sold over 80 million albums worldwide. He's a big deal--in fact the highest profile act we've ever had. This will be a concert, not really a "networking Party."
