Isn't it amazing that the only negatives are coming from those (same) individuals who have not attended, which in reality, gives no creedence to what they say, anyway. It has always amazed me how people can have a negative opinion about something they know nothing about.

x 2. Well said Tom.

Again, could you please point out those who have posted negative opinions about the workshop. I'd be interested in reading them. I've only read positive thoughts thus far.

The workshops are $599. I'm waiting to read about where the location is for the Boston workshop. I haven't heard anything about that one except for the date.

Ron, all of the info about where it is going to be held in Boston is readily available at the link BBBuffalo posted.

The information you need is there if you are willing to find it.

Thanks Shelley. Where have you been lately. You don't seem to post here much unless it's on a specific subject. You should post here more often, there's much more going on.

I have viewed that information before and just a few minutes ago as well. Maybe you just haven's seen it. It doesn't state where it is being held only TBA so all the information is not readily available, only some of it.
Doors open at 9:30 a.m. Workshop ends at approx. 6:00 p.m. Exact meeting locations TBA, but will be conveniently located.
I understand if you don't have the information, It was nice of you to jump in and help. Thanks for replying though.

That's why people get defensive when you post on these subjects Ron.

That wasn't necessary, and will be seen as an obvious jab for those that know what you are talking about.

There are some members of "the grudge sharing" group or the "I already know that" group, or the "I can't stand that someone else is making money teaching" group, or "the big 3 are always wrong" crew that do that on a regular basis.

They make little remarks which may seem innocuous enough to most, but are clearly meant to be snide or down right insulting.

Why don't WE (that includes me) try to refrain from that.

Neal,
Are you a moderator now? I was making an observation and trying to invite a simple thought. Since you seem to be running this thread should I run my responses through you first. It's apparent it doesn't matter what I say, you'll take it anyway that you see fit. Fair enough.

You seem to be going somewhere but there is no where to go. I just respond to someone who responded to me. Not much of your business now is it. Why not just stay on topic.

Ron: To my knowledge the Boston workshop is actually in Worchester. Not exactly a suburb but closer for me so I'm not complaining.

I hope there's no objection for me to respond to Jimmy.

Thanks Jimmy. It's called Worcester. I'm there every Tuesday night and it's where I teach for Umass Medical Center. It is actually closer to me. It's right down the road from last years summer camp. Did you got to Jillian's with us?

Ron,

The reason I don't post here often is simple. I am not willing to be BBQed because of my views. Plus sometimes I just don't have much to say that anyone else will agree with here. I know where I belong . I know where I and my views are accepted. I know that's not here.

You know where I'm coming from. You know who I am. You know my personality. I am not a mud slinger, nor a "hater". I give everyone a chance, sometimes even more chances than they deserve. If there is something I can add to I will. But I prefer to be quiet, sit back and observe. There is lots to learn here just as there is at DJA. Valuable info is everywhere...you just have to be open minded enough to accept it. I got myself an open mind.

I'm sure you knew why before you even asked. But I appreciate the concern...

Ok,

So if one was looking at the Cincinnati workshop. Is it within the Cincinnati city limits? Or is it somewhere else outside of there?

The basis for the question is to determine travel & hotel arrangements. Would one be flying into Cincinnati, or say Columbus - which might be more convenient for flying via Southwest?

We all know the location of the Mobile Beat Summer Show - at the Skokie Conference Center at the Holiday Inn North Shore, but the actual hotel details for these workshop aren't made public, which could make travel arrangements harder then they have to be.

Just an observation...

Does anyone have the specifics for the Cincinnati workshop? Meaning what is the actual city/hotel name & location? Thank you.

Cheers,

Joe

Thanks Shelly for your kind and thoughtful response.

I attempted to make a pleasant and respectful post in response to you providing me with helpful information. You took the time to share information that no one here seemed to have. If there was something offensive in my post please point it out and I will correct it.

I understand this completely as I am BBQed (I like honey mustard myself) quite often for my views but I am still willing to post regardless.

It's true, you only post here during certain debates that's why I was surprises to hear from you. Just thought I'd lend some kinds word and encourage you to post more often.

That is great information and since you mentioned DJA I just thought I'd share another forum filled with a great bunch of open minded people. I would suggest you bring your open mind and visit ourdjtalk.com. They are more than willing to share all kinds of view points and ideas. Come visit today. We even have some SOC folks over there.

Enjoy your Friday. :)>-

Joe,
I see what your saying. The Boston workshop is not really in Boston. It is 45 miles west of Boston in Worcester to my understanding. For us here in MA that is a big difference with much closer hotels near Worcester. Transportation would be different also plus there is a Worcester Regional Airport just on the outskirts of the city.

I hope this helps.

Ron,

Yes, it helps with the Boston workshop.

But, not with the one in Cincinnati.... :?

Thanks!

Actually Ron if you will notice I have posted in other threads that didn't have any "debates" going on at all. I am not the type of person to argue or fight. I'm a nonconfrontational kinda gal. When I have posted in those "debates" it was because I had something to add to it. Something valuable and something to give a clearer picture of what was going on.

Nothing more. Nothing less.

As for what other things I have posted in here are a few links....

http://start.prodj.com/viewtopic.php?p=430127&highlight=#430127

http://start.prodj.com/viewtopic.php?p=395843&highlight=#395843

I think those should suffice. Compared to the other posts I have made concerning "debates" these should more than speak for themselves. I just generally don't have much to say for myself with people I don't know and therefore am not sure I can trust.

I was invited here by you and Heather and Joe and I extended an invite to you three as well. All of us hoping to continue our discourse and friendship. We all know how that all turned out and I am sorry for it. I do thank you for the invite to ourdjtalk.com. It is much appreciated. My open mind and I will have to check it out.

But for now I prefer to,

You mean you'll start AFTER you get in that "Do as I say not as I do" post?

There are some members of "the agree with me or else" group or the "I don't want to deal with differing thought" group, or the "I can't stand that someone else has a differing opinion" group, or "the big 3 are always right" crew that do that on a regular basis.
