Hmm....I find this color scheme makes it difficult to read threads and just about everything else. I don't care for the monochromatic style. I think it's a huge step backward!

AHHHHH!!!!

I changed the Board Style to subSilver in my profile and now it's back to the previous look. I much prefer this!

Ryan, PLEASE DON'T TAKE THE BOARD STYLE OPTION AWAY!!!

I love it! It's so...steel looking...just like I wish my house would look. Stainless steel everywhere...it's making me h o r n y!

I am among those that found it very difficult to read. I was also able to change it back. Please do not remove the ability to choose board style.

Go to profile, board style, choose subSilver, and then Submit. It's back to the readable board.

Ooooh...Aaaah...

Scared the garbage out of me, at first. I like the new skin, yet as others have said, reading is hard on the eyes.

I liked the old look better, far more original, not so cookie-cutter. It also fit on my 800x600 res. I did not want to increase my res but had to so I can fit everything on the page. There is no button you can press to see all the answered threads since your last visit, bummer... I believe the button at the bottom that some members may think is for that, is not even a button but an indicator.

Normally, I like and encourage change...

The previous template we used was extreme cookie cutter, it was the default skin that comes with it. The button for all the answered threads will return very soon.

Not sure if this is what you're talking about: http://start.prodj.com/viewtopic.php?t=34041

Also, Ryan is right...the old version was very cookie-cutter. There are hundreds, if not thousands of sites using the old version. I visited numerous message boards that used that version.

I'm looking forward to the tweaking they'll be doing to see the final version. So far I think they're off to a good start!

Ryan,

I agree that the contrast should come up. Also I would add color to the buttons & text on them. I don't need the XP iconic overdrive.

I really like the metal look. I think that it is a great first pass on a new skin. I too would look to upgrading the software behind it for a variety of reasons that we have discussed in past. I also know the concerns regarding it.

I too would make the top banner smaller, but I only offer that to those still using 800x600. Personally my laptop runs at 1400x1024 & I see everything great & even with grey background it is very readable.

BTW I HATE white backgrounds. It is 10x harder the read than lighter text on a dark background. I can read light text on black from 4' away. After awhile text on white blurs & tends to produce eye fatigue as your eyes are getting so much bright white.

Great job Ryan. I like it overall

I guess it was the color scheme that made the old site look original.

I actually quite like the new look when I view it on my wide-screen laptop with higher res.

Is it possible to change the color of the New Post buttons next to the titles of topics?
