Who remembers, much less actually read and/or subscribed to Dance Music Report. I DID! :D

I'm happy to report that it's been reincarnated, online at least, at http://www.dancemusicreport.com/
Some of the old issues and charts are available too. Thanx to Roger who inspired this post by sharing his rediscovery of the magazine Harmonic Keys, another famous DJ Magazine from "back in the day". Ironically, the cover story on the current online edition of Dance Music Report is a look back at Harmonic Keys.

Here's what is, IMHO, the single greatest reference resource for "Classic Dance" from the late 70's & 80's: http://www.hotdiscomix.de/charts/index.htm

Jodi, look at what you've started. Your fans here can't even contain themselves as the week progresses and TBT gets closer. You are SO on to something. I'm having a vision....Ryan asks you to pen a Throwback Column for Mobile Beat.

Hilarious ... "my fans" You crack me up Steve! Seriously, if Ryan asks anyone to pen a TBT (or anything) it should be you, professor! You're the educator (I just like to dance!)

Anyhoo ... re: Dance Music Report, I read and remember. But, I don't think I personally subscribed.... maybe I shared with another DJ? I'm not sure how I had it..... (crazy)

I'll be checking out new incarnation for sure - thanks for that!
