Dove-tailing off the KISS tread...

Everybody knows that the R&R HOF is a bit of a joke...both, because of those who are in and because of those who were left out.
Partly based on the standards already demonstrated by the HOF, here are just a few notables (and this just scratches the surface) who have a valid case for induction. Some are already in as part of a band but not as a solo act...some are songwriters, side musicians, influences etc.

Believe it or not, Jimmy Buffett has a huge following!! He has more hits than just "Margaritaville". All his concerts are usually sold out. He has a huge fan base worldwide.

Kansas? Well, they're nothing but "Dust in the Wind".

Styx deserves to be in. Would they allow Dennis DeYoung to be part of the induction if they were selected?

Why is Bon Jovi not in?

I think it's just a joke who's in and not in.

I could agree with most of that list. However, there is one glaring omission, IMO. A band who brought the fusion of jazz and rock to the forefront. They've had numerous #1 hits, and over 30 albums. Why isn't Chicago in the Hall of Fame?

Maybe we are beginning to see why the RNRHOF has problems. So many acts so little time??

Not that so much, Bill, as it is "something else".

They have been a mess since before they opened. I can understand the idea of not disenfranchising different generations by including a few acts along the way, but the schism between the realities of R&R and the fantasy they have created with their list, well, I think that the Hard Rock Cafe did a better job.
