I bought a pair of these things a few years back at the DJ Expo in AC. Any idea who sells them ?

They were like 2 for $20. They attach to just about any speaker stand, light stand, etc.

Are they for mounting a PR-1 or source4 on a tripod? It looks like you could make them easily enough if that's the case

works good trying to pinspot a cake, too. Thats if the cake isn't that far away, and you have a good angle.

Or, $3 at home depot.

I'd rather use a pipe & drape upright. A stand for a single light is rather unsightly.

I would not put a PR-1 or anything that heavy on a mount like that. You could probably build something with plumbing parts, section of pipe pipe cap drilled, a short bolt, couple of washers and a wing-nut.

@ Steve, I've tried the pipe & drape thing, doesn't work that well. You always have that "lean" or tilt to one side crap going on...I know tripods are a bit ugly, but nothing else really works that good.
Even tried pipe with a strong Iron patio umbrella base. Fail.

I mount a light to one of these by putting a bolt through the hole that is in the center.

I also attach a boom box to a speaker pole with one for ceremonies in remote locations like the beach or in the woods.

I even used one to mount a laptop stand to a speaker tripod.

You could basically mount anything to the top of a tripod with that.

Check out this set up. Simple and effective for smaller dance floors.
