Ive been waiting for the App from VDJ since I have an I phone and I pad. According VDJ, the app is still awaiting approval. Not sure what the hold up is.

I've had the VDJ app since it came out a few weeks ago... Pretty dang slick! I just threw a router in my rack, and I was walking around socializing, while mixing cocktail hour.

TIm,

& if that is exciting, my iphone easily beats my facinate! Now if it only had a network!
To me, it's like saying I my new mercedes is a much nicer car than my bmw. It just requires special gas that makes it run a lot slower. But when both cars are parked, the mercedes is much nicer.

The iphone was groundbreaking. They just hitched their wagon to a much inferior network and opened the floodgates for the competition. As big as a gadget freak as I am, I could not even consider getting an iphone because I knew clearly how inferior AT&T's network was and still is. At least in my area.

I was using this app on my iPhone (before I switched to Droid) and on my iTouch.

I now have it loaded on my iPad, and think it is phenomenal for lighting control.

I have AutoCAD viewers...document sync and all my email accounts, as well as all my other apps necessary to get my work done on the road. I am about to dump the work laptop...

If I could only double boot my PS3 to windows, so I wouldn't need a home PC, I would really be happy.

I agree 100% I like the iPhone but hate ATT.. I have an EVO4G on sprint and it is one awesome phone. One thing I LOVE about the EVO is all the custom things we can do once we are ROOTED... INCLUDING some fixes for battery life.

Scott,

I don't use my iphone as a phone for the most part. However as a PDA device it is clearly better. Thankfully that doesn't require much of ATT network.

The more I own a droid, the less I like the entire experience. I have now had 4 differerent droid platforms, & outside of swipe, I can't find anything I like better on them.

This year should be the end of the Verizon apple war & when the happens, I will get a Verizon iphone.

Hippy,

It is sad that you have to Root a device. I was sad to find that Jailbreaking phones allowed them to steal apps from developers. I can't say that the ends justify the means when it opens up technology to steal from others. I know you would not be engaged in that but I know many, many who are.

It's like "file sharing" all over again. Except this time there isn't some high price of x excuse. It is what it has always been. Theft.

I do suspect that there will be an iPad 2 this year, However, I have had mine for long enough to say that I got the value out of owning it already.

They will have an upgrade path, I am sure of that. If I upgrade, but don't trade it in, I will give it to a family member to use.

I love my iPad. I have already played with several of the new tablets. They are still too much like laptops, ie slow boot or too much like cellphones having crappy looking UI.

I played last week with the Samsung tablet. I would never suggest buying one. Too large to carry in your pocket, too small to really type on.

Do you know what ROOTING THE PHONE DOES? its not all about steeling software. for one, I rooted to make my phone better.. CUSTOM KERNEL for INCREASED BATTERY LIFE. CUSTOM ROM for INCREASED SPEED. CUSTOM APPS for battery life, speed, etc and widgets you cant run unless rootes as well as great programs that need root. Its NOT steeling. Sure people can steel software because of root but thats not really what its all about.

I love my EVO android and there are things on there that the iPhone just doesnt do!

THe more I know abot flash the LESS I want it on anything. Do you know that once you view something in flash that it becomes a TSR taking up ram & CPU cycles?

Not for me.

Yes I know all about rooting. Yes it offers some enhancements. They come at the price of also braking the device so that apps do not have to be paid for. The end doesn't justify the means to me because it makes it easier for people to steal from others.

Like I said, I know that your not that way, but I have been told by dozens of people when stating & have a droid or iphone, hey you know if you jailbreak the phone you'll never have to pay for apps again???? Cool huh. Me. No, not so much.
