Syncing Libraries Between Macs

And WHERE is Alma MI ?!
It's been so long since I've stepped foot in this forum, I feel a little guilty...

I DJ with two macbook pros (one master, one backup) - both running Yosemite. Each computer uses iTunes as the music library manager. I find the iTunes playlist manager much more GUI friendly and simple to use than VDJ. I love VDJ and use VDJ 8 when I perform, and access my iTunes libraries from there.

One macbook pro is my "master" where I receive new music, update iTunes playlists, etc. I "sync" the two using iTunes home sharing. It's easy for me to use my backup computer to read the iTunes playlist from the master, and import anything that new on my master that doesn't exist on my backup computer. This way I can ensure the music libraries are the same.

This does not, however, sync my iTunes libraries. For this I've been exporting each iTunes library separately (because you can't export them all at once), transferring them to computer #2 then importing them individually. Pain in the ass.

Syncing VDJs between the two computer (making them identical) is not trivial either - to me.

Can someone guide me on how to ensure that my VDJ's are exactly the same, or maybe help simplify what I'm trying to do? I've been doing this for some time, and there seems like there is a better way out there. I'm not a huge fan of 'cloud' technology yet, so please keep suggestions out of the cloud :)
