Slight skips with VirtualDJ

What can I turn off from my computer that might help with the blimps? Is there a way to make VirtualDJ more "dominate/stronger"? I haven't noticed this during a gig, but I do have this happen when I'm at home - could it have to do with an internet connection, like security software doing a scan or something like that?

in many cases it usually turns out that the person has safe mode turned on,
or the latency is set too low..

Which version of Windows? If it's XP try this

During a DJ event, make sure that -------
1 - Any anti-virus program code is TURNED OFF
2 - Turn OFF any connections to the INTERNET (unless you need to download a song or two) - personally I do this on my smartphone then plug it into my mixer when needed.
3 - Be sure that any external music HD is plugged directly into a USB port and NOT INTO a shared USB hub.
4 - Make sure you haven't modified any of the default settings in the VDJ CONFIG like "latency" - the default value is optimal unless you change hardware

I highly recommend you visit BlackViper.com and get the optimal set of "SERVICES" that should be active for DJ'ing ... DISABLE those you don't need like iTunes, Clock sync via the internet etc.

Virtual dj has a download that turns off all your unwanted stuff like viper , than back when your done DJing.

Dick, I tried that download and it doesn't work for me. All I see is system errors messages, I don't think it turned anything off. :/
