I like OSU, they got smart and hired a SEC coach I will be pulling for them, but I do think the ducks will roll. I am just glad Alabama had to play OSU and not Oregon round one, as I think Oregon would have hung 60 on the tide, as bad as their defense played.
I think that both defenses have a lot of holes via the passing game, and the last one that scores is gonna win. The Ducks gave up a lot of yards, but not a lot of points. The Buckeyes gave up a lot of yards and a lot of points, but they kept attacking Alabama and scoring through the air as well. I do not have a dog in this fight, so I am hoping for a highly entertaining game. It is hard not to like a team that Wins in that horrible sargasso sea/puke green uniform though. They make ugly beautiful. I'm pickin on the strength of the ugly green. Paddle hard Ducks!
Great game! Just to think, the National Champ only got in at the last minute due to a beat down of Wisconsin, had that game been close they may have gotten cheated out of the title.
I do think TCU, which I am not a fan of, got cheated, as they were probably a better team than Alabama and FSU. The SEC was over rated this year, and I am a big SEC fan, UK all the we way, but we spend all our money on our Pro Basketball Starter Camp
Congratulations to OSU. It's certainly a great story with their #3 quarterback o nthe roster coming in to steer that ship to victory. Oregon, despite the OSU team giving them 4 turnovers could not get untracked, and I think that the OSU defense was much tougher this go around than when I watched them against Alabama. They shut them down for the most part. Perhaps a tweak of the playoff system down the road will involve 8 teams, and solve any hurt feelings/problems for #5/6. I do not think TCU would have done well against OSU. No one could have done well, given the level of play.
I'll accept your congrats on behalf of the blood sweat and tears of the players and coaches. (As much as I thought MY being ON the official OSU instagram had EVERYTHING to do with the victory ... I concede I was simply a fan!)
Here is a phone picture I took at The 2010 Rose Bowl the last time OSU beat Oregon ;-)
And a picture of me & Brutus at a wedding I DJed last year. You can tell he really likes me!
OSU was clearly the better team on that night... congratulations. Things should get interesting in another 2 - 3 years once Jim Harbaugh takes over at Michigan. I don't foresee anything happening in his first year.
