I was in Vegas at a video poker machine last year. I used the touch screen to save cards in the hands dealt. It was after awhile I noticed the cards I touched didn't get saved , but the cards next to it did. I called over a slot attendant who simply told me to go to another machine. I then called his boss to have this machine shut down as so nobody else got screwed. THe boss verified the machine was doing exactly what I claimed (it took awhile to duplicate the issue, as it didn't do it every time) and wrote off all room charges for my troubles.
THis really happened and was verified. THis was a touch screen that used the same basic technology/priciples as a voters screen.

What I dont get is how hard is it to wire up a set of buttons to the same machine.. just like the bank machines.. many of them are touch screens but still have the option of hitting a button to make your choice..

or what was stopping them from having the machines come up with a big message saying "you have voted for [president]______.. Is this correct? Yes -/- No ?"

Should serve as a word of warning to all touch-screen users ..... I guess that means smartphones, iPads and other similar devices.

Now you're not naive enough to think we're living in a democracy, are you buddy?

No comment from me...technically.

[QUOTEGordon Gekko: The richest one percent of this country owns half our country's wealth, five trillion dollars. One third of that comes from hard work, two thirds comes from inheritance, interest on interest accumulating to widows and idiot sons and what I do, stock and real estate speculation. It's bull****. You got ninety percent of the American public out there with little or no net worth. I create nothing. I own. We make the rules, pal. The news, war, peace, famine, upheaval, the price per paper clip. We pick that rabbit out of the hat while everybody sits out there wondering how the hell we did it. Now you're not naive enough to think we're living in a democracy, are you buddy? It's the free market. And you're a part of it. You've got that killer instinct. Stick around pal, I've still got a lot to teach you.][/QUOTE]

Really? in Alabama whats the avg age of a liberal VS the avg age of a conservative..
Are you telling me its different then the rest of America?
What ever the age, Huntsville has the highest concentration of engineers in the country and one of the highest ratios of PhDs. Huntsville workers with the U.S. Army, NASA and major corporate contractors manage key national programs such as the Space Station, Space Shuttle Propulsion, National Missile Defense and Army Aviation. The area’s electronics and computer software industry is also robust, ranking 5th in the country for software-related employment. I would say all these people are computer users and this area will be voting for Romney, as overall will the state.

I early voted in OH. We don't have traditional early voting. You're basically filling ouy a mail-in ballot, but you do it at your county board of elections office, rather than at home or wherever you are. So we pencil-in the ballot (think Iowa Tests), fold it in half, seal it in an envelope, and send it in to be optically scanned. If you vote on election day, you use the computerized do-hicky.

Checking Reality
I saw it demonstrated in a video where the vote was going to the Rep. when touching the Dem. So if it's going both ways I guess it's like playing football in the snow. Both teams are at the same disadvantage. Which team will complain about it more... the one that loses.

Same in NC, except on election day, it's all paper, then scanned in. No electronic voting. I do recall using that in Virginia.

Funny, I heard the OPPOSITE was happening in Romney's favor.
Still kinda odd for Ohio
since Romney's son is part of the company that owns their voting machines.

That was just one of the outright Lies fabricated By the Obama Campaign man, Do some fact checking.

Tagg Romney's Company Solamere capital Did some acquisitions with HIG capital who has a controlling investment in Intervic, however, Bain capital in no way even factors into the equation to begin with, and Tagg Romney's Solamere Capital has absolutely nothing to do with HIG's investments.

It's one of those "just tell the lie, it's close enough that most won't bother to check" scenarios we saw so much of this year.

Just like the Alleged 500 Billion Tax cut for taking jobs overseas that no expert, republican, or democrat has been able to find in the tax code..

It was just a convenient lie, and looks like it did it's job.

Not trying to start a political battle, but this is all public record.

Most just listen to CBS and call it a night. The truth usually requires a little more digging.

I'm trying to find the story, but it was actually shown that Obama has investments closer to the voting machines than Tagg Romney has.
