Tonight was my first real gig with my L1M2 and 2 B2 subs. I had an L1M1 and 4 B1s in the past. I will say, that this system is much better than my last one, but I still don't think I have it set up right. Anyone use the Bose L1 stuff with the Pioneer DDJ-S1? I just don't think I'm running the mixer the right way. I am not in the red, so that's not the issue. Also, I have done the firmware update on the powerstands. Any help on tuning my system (the DDJ-S1) to be optimal with the Bose L1 stuff? Thanks!
What exactly seems to be the problem?

Maybe I just haven't got my settings like they are supposed to be. There are so many options. There is a 0,-6, -12 db switch on the back of the DDJ. There is a "headroom" setting under settings on Itch. Gain on stands, trim on mixer, master level, fader level etc. I just gotta get dialed in to maximize the system with zero clip or distortion.

So what would the possibility be to just build a 2 10 inch ported cab and hook it to you system? I'm looking at sheer economics. 2 10inch 3 inch voice coil woofers and some MDF is going to set me back about $100. This does not appear to be a magic sub but rather a simple ported dual woofer cabinet. Now this is subject to knowing the outputs ohms of the L1's and the add on pack. 4 Ohm or possible 2 Ohm.

You're opening a giant can of worms here so go get your flame suit on. The reality is you're right it wouldn't be that hard to build something similar... or at least it isn't if you have an educaton/work/hobby background like I do, but it won't have a Bose label on it so besides potentially offending the loyal you may also impact warranty on the actual Bose components you're connecting to.

So if I get Bose speakers, Apple computer, Monster cables, and Serato I am on the road to success. Just kidding - just a thought. :)
