I'm just curious where everyone gets their music aside from bargain bins at wally world?

What subscription services do you use?

Are there any that are specific to Canada?

Thanks,

Jason

www.podds.ca
a download service that is AVLA legal (their is a second one but i forgot its name.)

www.promoonlycanada.com
CD and DVD subscription services (AVLA Legal)

www.ergmusic.com/cdnDjs/
same as promo only.

For the legalities check out
http://www.avla2007.ca/

Keep in mind, if your using a computer you can ONLY (besides using www.podds.ca)legally use MP3's ripped from the original CD (IE: you can not make mp3's from ERG or Promo-Only)

In the end it actually makes more sense to just buy the original CD's (also the sound quality is sometimes better VS the subscription services).

P.S.:
My responses were limited to Canada,
USA DJ's are under different laws and thus their legal music sources would be different.

There is a PrimeCuts rep. in Canada now
I dont remember the link (a person would have to go to the primecuts home page and do a search), but I think they had some good deals..
If I remember correctly they are one of the first ones to offer entire hardrives full of music.. AVLA has had this licencing in place for years but no one was taken advantage of it..

If a DJ in canada was looking to jumpstart their music collection LEGALLY then they should definatly check it out.
