They say drugs were involved. He played with death, now he's dead. Sorry, but I don't have any sympathy for those who are alcoholics or do drugs.

I agree... You play with drugs, you get what you get.

While I feel for those who cared about him, that's one more idiot off the streets who's not gonna' pass out and hit me head on on my way home from a gig, or run my kid over on the street.

Sad all the way around. You raise a child from a little baby up to an adult, you try to keep them out of harm's way, and as soon as you set them free, they go and seal their death warrant by trying drugs.. There is no recreational drug use.. eventually it kills everyone who does em'!

It must be so irritating to be so perfect in a world filled with the rest of us, good thing you have that Ivory Tower to keep us all from getting too close!

C'mon Ken...you know that Ron is one the greatest posters to grace this chat board. To his credit he is extremely consistent...he only disagrees with people who don't agree with him.

Booch,

I've never touched any kind of drugs, never got drunk, don't smoke or chew tobacco products, don't have any body piercings, nor any tattoos. No beard, no mustache neither. I exercise and keep in shape though.

So why should I have any sympathy for someone who knowingly took drugs and was a known drug addict?

Now, for those that choose to do drugs, you're playing with fire.

Same for those that choose to consume too much alcohol. My father died of Alcoholism and Lung Cancer. I learned from his mistakes.

My uncle, (on my father's side) was a drug addict and died from an overdose. I learned from his mistakes too.

I am who I am because I chose to make better decisions than others that wanted to walk on the wild side.

Who's DJ AM?

I don't even know why he is "famous" anyway. What has he actually done that made him famous?

He wasn't that great of a DJ

It all depends on what you consider great. If you base it on his clients, then he was way better then average. I only know a few djs that fight from coast to coast djing.

Ron, Ron, Ron...will you ever learn? Who the h*ll even asked for your sympathy? You can never just keep your mouth shut. Everyone's an a-hole unless they follow your rulebook...

2 thoughts I subscribe to come to mind in a case like this:

"There's No Such Thing As Victims, Only Volunteers". Obviously there's criteria for that statement.

"There But For The Grace of God Go I".

There is no recreational drug use.. eventually it kills everyone who does em'!
Sadly Steve, while I agree with you in principle, too often it is the innocent who die or at the very least suffer having done nothing wrong, while the abuser/addict walks away unscathed...and usually none-the-wiser for the pain inflicted.

Booch,

When will YOU ever learn to KEEP your mouth shut? Opinions are opinions, and if you don't like mine, you don't have to, and that's all I have to say. If you don't like my posts, which are far and few between here, then put me on your ignore list. That's all I ask. There' been many posts you've made that I choose to ignore and say nothing. And if you respect that, so do I.

That's a classless ignorant statement!!!

Charlie, respectfully, what exactly makes that a classless ignorant statement? I'm not trying to bust your chops and I've no beef with you, or your position, I just want to start a dignified dialog. I get how you feel, but you didn't explain why you feel the way you do. I'm not calling you out, I'm trying to understand. -Z-
