One of my cabinets appears to have the residue of some slightly tacky liquid on both the hard plastic shell and the metal grid covering the woofer. Any suggestions on the best cleaning solution for getting it off? FYI - I have no idea what the liquid might be.

Thanks!

A soft damp cloth dipped in any mild dishwashing detergent (which has grease removing capabilities) should do. Give 'em both a good wipe down and allow them to dry. Finish off with another wipe down with Armour All. Should be good to go and you might even think of doing the same for your cables. If they have any sticky residue on them from taping them down, use WD-40 on a rag to wipe them and then give them the same treatment as your speaker cabinets.

Car wash high pressure hose and engine degreaser? Kidding.

I use a carwash soap to clean mine. If you use WD-40, I recommend using some sort of mild soap afterwards... 8)

If any of you have small children, WD40 works great on getting crayon off of walls. Just need to follow up with soup and water to get rid of the smell.

I always carry a can of aerosol isopropyl alcohol... you can spray a gallon of it on your gear, and it will evaporate in a few seconds...
