American Dj X-move Led 25r Moving Head

Anybody have experience with this moving head. I'm seriously considering a pair as a start. The INNO Pocket Spots seem a bit too basic and these are just $100 more for many more features and 2 1/2 times the LED, replaceable gobos are a must. The INNO PROs would be great but currently out of my budget. Any thoughts?

I have a pair of the original X-Move LEDs, I really like them (even though I know I've never used them to their fullest potential). English is difficult enough, I never learned to speak DMX...LOL!

Here's me from their catalog (in my Elvis 'Blue Hawaii' print shirt):

I'd suggest looking up Brian Scott Redd on facebook and do a search of his lighting reviews, he has videos on many ADJ products.

They are a few mounted to the the ceiling in the halls of my local movie theater. They are not bright at all, I wouldn't consider them. I had the Inno Spot LED mover and it was super bright but the problem with it was that the gobos would not rotate slowly at all, even under DMX control. The Chauvet Intimidator LED 250 rotates super slow which most likely means they use higher quality stepper motors.

Thanks guys,! Ken that's a cool shirt ;)

Maestro which ones are you referring to? The original X Moves or the 25R in my video? I read your post about the Inno Spot and others also said it doesn't slow down.

I'm seeing reports of reliability issues with the Chauvet Intimidators and problems getting service. Although I use some Chauvet lights I'm hesitant after reading these negative reviews about the moving heads.

Hey Steve, not sure what you're comparing them too, but they're bright enough that old Aunts & Grandma's b*tch when they get in their eyes! LOL

So Ken...would a pair of these fill your average wedding hall? Maybe 100-200 guests? 2 of the 25Rs cost the same as one INNO Spot Pro, which is about my budget now.

I use them in gymnasiums and wedding venues, your best course of action might be to make your purchase from your local Guitar Center a few days before an event and give them a try under YOUR working conditions, and use their very liberal 30-day return policy to change your mind if they're not what you're expecting... if they work for you; Great! If not; You'll know without a doubt.

I haven't heard about any reliability issues with the Intimidator 250 LED from actual users. There might be something posted on the internet by an ADJ lover to make them look bad but the owners I've contacted seem to love them.

Yes, my local theatre has the 25R in their lobby, I didn't find them bright at all. Perhaps they have them dimmed via DMX? The Inno's I had were hella bright!

Thanks again guys. I'm down in the Caribbean so no GC or Sam Ash etc to demo stuff. I will be in Florida soon though, which is why I'm asking about moving heads. The Intimidator 250 does look good but please look at this video of the 25Rs and tell me what you think. The look pretty bright here and seem to throw pretty far.
