Please post a pic of the 1st Record (45 or 33 1/3), Tape (8-Track or Cassette), CD (or Mini Disc), or MP3 you ever owned. This doesn't mean the 1st Record you ever owned as a DJ, just the first record.
My first record was actually a box set of Elvis 45's. They came in a box about 2 ft long with every 45 record in a picture sleeve. I wish I still had them, in the box, never played. I was just a kid and abused the hell out of 'em back then.
Long before I even knew what rap was our Uncle Paul gifted us (my brother and I) with this album which got many many plays over the years until my brother SOLD IT in a yard sale our parents had - F%*@%er
First CD was "Van Halen" - Van Halen, purchased at the PX in Okinawa Japan in 1984, and I didn't even own a CD player til I rotated back to the US in 1985 (while there I also purchased "Dark Side Of The Moon" - Pink Floyd, "Born In The USA" - Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi (first album on Scotti Bros label), and Eagles - Hotel California. They were $11.95 each and I still have them all).
First record was "Blood, Sweat & Tears" first album. Then, went out and bought "ABC" by Jackson 5.
First tape was "Live from San Quintin" by Johnny Cash.
First CD was "Hear The Light" by various artists (Kool & The Gang, Eric Clapton, Scorpions, to name a few)
45 - "My Girl" ~ The Temptations.
LP - "Sergio Mendes & Brasil 66"
8T - "Cosmo's Factory" ~ CCR
Cassette - "Cloud 9" ~ The Temptations
CD - "Even Worse" ~ "Weird" Al Yankovic - Well...I didn't actually buy it. It was a gift. Had to go out and buy a player that day, though...
