    Filipino Song Help

There is a song that is very popular for parties in the Filipino community. It's called (near as I can tell), "Todo Todo". But, I can't find out who sings the popular version that they want.

Also, is there any other popular Filipino party songs?

"Todo Todo" is the single most popular cha-cha song that I'm aware of within the last 5-8 years, at least. At some Filipino functions I've had to play it up to 3 times, and repeating tracks at any given function is something I really don't like to do.

Fatman, get it, it's money in the bank.

    Hi DJ Fatman,

The cd you are seeking for "Todo Todo" can be found on most Filipino Ballroom Dancing Cd's. These cd's are compilations, much like our "greatest hits" cd's.
The cd I own that has the "Todo Todo" is titled:

    Ballroom Dancing In Manila.

I've only owned this cd for 4 years, I'm sure it's still in print. If you're still in California, check some of the Filipino Music stores in San Francisco, or better yet, check out this website for purchasing this:

    www.planetpinoy.com. :P

If I can help you further, call me or e-mail me. Hope this helps!!

Todo Todo is one of the most popular line dance songs Filipinos like to dance to.

Some other popular songs Filipino enjoy linedancing to:

*On ne s'aimera plus jamais - Larusso
*Spaghetti - Sex Bomb Girls ft. Joey Deleon
    Otso Otso - Lito Camo
*Mueve Tu Cucu - El Simbolo
*September - Earth Wind & Fire
    She Bangs - Ricky Martin
Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel - Tavares
Love Potion No. 9 - Casa Musica (Cha Cha)

    * Denotes a "MUST PLAY" at any Filipino event.

It is always helpful to learn the linedances and join them, especially if you are not Filipino.

another popular one is "Otso Otso" by Bayani Agbayani. it works pretty good, even at school dances where all types of ethnicities request it. it's not really a ballroom dance...

the upcoming "new" song/dance craze that i'm hearing about is "chocolate" or something like that...not sure who the artist is on that.

    Yes,

Daniela Romo is the artist and everyone is 2/3 right on the title.
Title is "Todo Todo Todo". You can pick this up at Tower or Best Buy (Latin Section)...or download from napster for .99

As stated above they like ballroom dances, line dances, disco, latin
so here are a few more selections in addition to Todo Todo Todo
(this song will NOT die...5-8 yrs like stated above). I'll add a few more:

    1) Blue Danube -Waltz
    2) Could I Have this Dance - Country Waltz
    3) Cha-Cha Slide
    4) Any Salsa, Merengue, Bachata
    5) Electric Slide (I'm trying to kill this one and replace with Cha-Cha Slide)
    6) Spanish Eyes - Rhumba
    7) La Cumparcita - Tango
    Angelina - Cha-Cha
    9) Its Now or Never - Cha-Cha
    10) Black Magic Woman - They dance Cha-Cha to this

    Have Fun!

yes, that is a popular one as well.

how do these songs work in your area?

    Kiliti - D'bodies
    Kikay - Viva Hotbabes
    Choopeta - T-Rio

I've gotten requests from the last Sweet 16 two weeks ago for the above. They all have a certain dance to them, but I do not know them, therefore I wouldn't recommend playing these unless they arleady know them.
