Oh why not.

If you take Gemsound PA 5500 amp in wattage is almost identicle to the Crown CE 4000 and Crown MA 2400 and QSC PL 4.0 QSC RMX 2400, ADJ V4000plus.

BUt the common sence is what i'm trying to say. YOu can power a line array system with these amps and why not? But its clear that the performance is not the same, and the 60 million dollars question is that. Will it sound the same? I personaly i dought it. But any way enough about this.

Juan,

Common sense would dictate that yes, it would sound the same as long as you're not overdriving these Gensound (?) amps. Doubt it all you want, facts are facts. If you have a way of getting your hands on a JBL Line Array or better yet, an EV X array and some of these Gensound (?) amps, why don't you try it. If you know what you're doing, the sound output will be the same and you won't damage these speakers. I have no knowlege of Gensound amplifiers so I don't know how long they'll hold up when driven hard.

I'm done with this. I'll let everybody believe what they want and for this thread, I'm done trying to convince you people that you're wrong and won't admit it. The reason you won't admit it is because you honestly don't really know what you're talking about. Damn, one of the most respected gearheads on this board tells you the same thing I am and you don't believe him either. If you don't believe us, try it for yourself in an unbiased, true level matched blind A/B test. All you really need to do is find a reputable dealer that sells both Crown and QSC or any other brands of amplifiers and see if they'll set it up. It doesn't have to be completely scientifically correct.

Tom,

I never said you didn't convince me showing your facts so don't miss understand me. In fact I do agree they all sound same when driven within there specs.

But there something that each system will perform different, look what just I explain to you I gave your two examples and look what Brandon Said. This is something you should look into it regardless of what facts or no facts.

I know your getting upset, but my apologize for any inconvenience.

God Bless

Juan

Ok, this post has again served no useful purpose after a certain point...all I can say is this...it has already been proven...time and again...NOBODY, absolutely NOBODY has EVER been able to identify or accurately be able to tell the difference in hundreds of ABX levels matched true double BLIND testing...ever...period!

Youth and age...ridiculous...yes, hearing loss above 14kHz becomes a factor with age...ABOVE 14kHz! Get the FACTS straight.

Getting upset Brandon? This is not worth getting upset over really, you're simply passionate about audio...nothing wrong with that at all. While you indeed evidently got very lucky in one isolated case, regardless of site or acute hearing due to vision loss, the FACTS remain the same. FYI, there has been instances where blind audiophiles have taken part in ABX testing due to the theory of their more acute hearing be able to detect differences...guess what...they failed as miserably as everyone else!

We can sit here and argue back and forth forever...the audiophile forums do everyday, but the FACTS remain the same and you simply cannot argue with FACTS.

I have taken part in a ABX test...and failed terribly. Tom & I disagree on things from time to time, but one thing we obviously agree on is simple scientifically proven FACT.

It cannot be much clearer than this...FACT is exactly that...take part in a ABX test, prove EVERYONE on the planet wrong and then you can go about earning millions as a consultant for all the amp manufacturers...until then, lighten up and realize the FACTS...and one cannot argue with FACTS!

Case Closed, Post Locked.
