I've worked in radio for 30-years.
It's pretty much the only full time job I've had.
    I don't surprise anyone.

Mike and I are in the same boat. I've worked as a radio DJ and VO guy since 1986. But my two businesses (DJ/Lighting Services) earn far more and demand much more of my time than my radio job. If I were smarter than I actually am, I'd just do voice work. People just assume that radio DJ's are event DJ's. People are wrong.

    Thanks!

I put people in jail - but only the ones that deserve it. My DJ thing is my 'happy' time as you can imagine when people go to jail, they are not happy - BUT you never see anybody dancing that is crying - they are always smiling. (my happy time)

I've been a working DJ since 1985, full-time & self-employed since 2001...in 2008, I had a life changing health scare that made me re-evaluate some things and I've been a stay-at-home-Dad-by-choice Monday through Thursday since then...still running my entertainment companies though.

For many years I worked in the commercial flooring industry, warehouse and delivery and I loved that kind of work, very physical work. The economy took a tank and so did the construction industry, past three years I have been delivering tires. DJing since 1988 and started DropZone in 2003. Right now life is on hold, I am currently in the hospital with Leukemia (AML) and in a few months will be getting a bone marrow transplant. Can't wait to get back to DJing some day. I was enjoying my busiest year.
