THe worst possible thing that would happen if he advertised on CL is that he would get enquiries that he could then decide fit his business model. There is no down side to trying this, no money out of pocket....only time to perhaps pick up a gig or two, and it never hurts to try

No doubt that a lot of CL'ers are looking for a cheap deal, but every so often ,you may strike gold.

I will reiterate,

Craigslist is the 3rd highest traffic website on the planet. Everyone uses it. I have gained Corporate clients through Craig's list.

General Motors found me on CL. UPS found me on CL. MC Donalds found me on CL. Not Google, Not Ad Words, Not facebook, Craig's List.

In corporates alone, CL has generated me an extra $50k for about 5 events.

Its free, everyone uses it, and if you're not, more for me.

Pics would be nice. Not necessarily of equipment, but something that shows what you do. A nice moment that you created, frozen in a picture. Or just a logo. CL marks which ads have images, and I bet ads with the picture icons get more clicks. I know I click ads with pictures before ads without.

Yup. He listed 20+ different event types he does for $350. He charges $450 to do same sex weddings.

I love trolling Craigslist and reading some of the DJ Ads. Gives me a laugh. Laughter is the best medicene(think I spelled that wrong). lol

Is it strange that he would charge extra for something he may not want to do? Not really. If there is an event type that I really don't want to do, I would either turn it down completely or charge higher than I normally would. What is strange is that he lists so many event types all at the same price and blatantly lists just one type over 30% higher. Disgust fee? I'm guessing so.

He did not list Traditional Weddings at all. Maybe he only does same sex weddings, and charges more for weddings.
Or not!
