VDJ question???

running a fully paid version of VDJ and now I am having a issue that I cannot use the keyboard to type and use the search function. It has done this in the last 4 or 5 shows... twice now.

any thoughts?

Yes I do have thoughts. Go to your config and go to mappers. From there click on the drop down to choose keyboard. I'm not in front of the computer right now so I'm not exactly sure that is the location but I do know it is in the config section.

hmm.. thats a new one.. I have heard of people losing their mapping functions but not the use of the keyboard..
Windows or Mac? VDJ version? Laptop?
You cant type at all? do you have a mouse?
does the keyboard work in other programs? IE: if you open notepad does the keyboard work there?

as far as I know,
The mapper only adds keyboard shortcuts for VDJ to use.. but the actual use of the keyboard (for typing) is windows dependant..

When you click on the searchbar the cursor should change to an "I" type character and a blinking cursor should show up on the search window..

does your keyboard not work at all? IE: do other shortcuts work like tabing between decks?

windows.. current version..can get the cursor to show up in the search window but cannot type.. it happens about1/2 to 3/4 way thru a 4 hour gig.. tried to get it to do it but I cant.. have another gig tonight, will have to see.. have not tried any shortcuts.

Go to VDJ help center they'll help you with in a half hour.

just did that. I see on the boards at VDJ, some people are having the same issue.

You know if you press ctrl+F it will put you in the search box instantly. Maybe that doesn't fix your current problem, but it might be useful.

I wonder if it is a glitch in the latest version.

Maybe reinstall from the disc and use the old until VDJ people have a fix.

I don't know if there is a way to revert to the most recent previous version. ie. ver.6

IM running the latest version on an XP machine and no issues at all... none.. what version of windows are you running? what processor and memory?
