Plastic case makes it light, but who knows about durability with a plastic shell. No Zoom. At the same price of a S4 then yes, at double the price, forget it.

YES! Look at it this way...Halogen lights are an endangered species. They're about $14-15 each right now. And they last about 50 hours each if you're lucky. In 3 years, they'll probably be $30.00 each. I buy 10-15 bulbs a year for my 5 S4's. At $800.00, This light would pay for itself in about 18 months.

But I have the feeling the $800.00 price MIGHT be a highball price. Bill's a sneaky one

    Thanks!

Will you still need to use metal/glass gobo's or can you make your own via transparency?

Fans???? hhhmmmmm Wonder what that's about?

LED should not be getting that hot, should it?

    And multiple fans? hhhmmmm

yeah price is a bit high, but have to agree with Brian on it's value over my Shakespears/ Altmans.

Bill, can the TwinSpin fit in this? How does this compare to a 550W Source 4 lamp?

The 100w LED will be about the same brightness as a 575w halogen fixture but it will have a higher color temperature making it appear brighter.
