I have been trying to figure out what numbers to enter on the back of the fixture to get the silver color. Does anyone know what the numbers would be or if there is a chart that can simplify the process for me.

Hello to All,
I have a pair of DNS 3700 and had a question regarding using the player in USB mode.
My question is, has any use the new Engine software to manage their music and to play with the 3700.

I know the 3700 has its own Music manager but the new Engine software that came out with the SC3900 looks really good and i heard you can create a Database which has your cue points and edits. Just wanted to know if anyone tried it with the 3700 and did it work. If so what did you do.

Thanks

hello all!

have recently picked up a regular wednesday night gig spinning at a local pizza pub that has a buffet/beer special that tends to attract alot of college kids and twenty-somethings. they like to have little games and contests for the patrons such as cornhole, beer pong, punching bag contest, music trivia questions, etc for little giveaways at the bar and what not. its pretty hit and miss with the crowd at the moment and difficult at times to get the crowd involved.

so, could anyone possibly suggest any other little games to get any number of people up and involved in a bar? your insight is appreciated.

thanks
I know I saw a post somewhere in the forum regarding this but, I haven't heard anymore about it.

I think the one of the biggest questions is what do i do when i go fulltime. Where do you start, should meet with other vendors. Try to get a couple week day gigs and if so, like what. What type of insurance cover do you have or where should one look. Again the information here may help others I know it has and will help me.

Alright, so what are some things that you find indispensable that you have at every event that are very, very inexpensive (say, under $50, and probably a lot less)? For example, I've got a clear clip board that I've used for years, I have a pen that has a light on the end of it that was basically free that was sent to me with my company name on it that's great. My stage tape has proved to be invaluable, I have a fan for summer events, of course, and I'm sure that I could come up with a lot of other things, if I put my mind to it.

I'm always trying to come up with any little thing that will make my life easier or make me more prepared at events. There was a great article about a year or so ago back in Mobile Beat that talked about some of these things... and I can't remember the month of the publication or the name of the author, but it was really great for this and right down this alley.

Please share your ideas in this regard. Thanks.

We have all seen the past few years what bad DJ's do at weddings. What if you had a bad moment and it ended up somewhere online? Is there any recourse for you? Is it possible to put in a contract that no portion of your performance may be put online without your consent? How could that be upheld? When I worked in television we had to have people sign a consent form unless it was at a public events. What we do are mostly private events so I'm not sure if we have any rights. Thoughts?

This is meant for a good chuckle only.
I saw the "Account Closed" under Byron's name and this sort of just wrote itself...with me channeling my "inner Waasta".
Again, (especially for those of us who have acquired that certain taste for his personality and humor), I thought this would be a source of a good chuckle. Enjoy! -Z-
.
.
An Ode To Byron

Account closed
That really blows
I did nothing wrong
I think I got hosed

To the mods that voted
With egos so bloated
I doubt it was unanimous
So who’s vote was goated?

I’m banned
An innocent man
Outspoken guys like me
Are just too easy to slam

21 days
Most spent in May
I’ll just get stuff done
And soak up some rays

To he who has dis-ed
You’re now on my list
You should see what happens
Now that I’m p!$$3d

My troops be loyal
Your reign they will foil
You’ll see it’s true
And your temper will boil

'Nuff said
I shan’t lose my head
Kiss my girls good night
And then go to bed.

By the light of the moon
I think it’ll be soon
That a certain someone
Will get banned too.

Well we just completed an exciting week of events. Tons of gear and a great looking and successful series of events.

We used 6 JBL PRX635 for mains on a small stage outdoors. They performed absolutely perfect until we hit around 105db.

At this point the tweeters started "biting" a little. Now I guess most would not be concerned about this, but I am. I will say that they sound absolutely beautiful until we hit 105db. At over 250ft you could here every word clearly, and the sound was very smooth.

For lows we used a combination of 2-PRX618-XLF and 2-EV T18s. We could have used 2 more 618's, but it still sounded fantastic with what we had.

I also bought 4 Yamaha DXF12's. Now they sounded incredible. For the money, I do not believe you can beat em. We used these four along with 4 PRX612M's for monitors. Not one complaint!

Again the PRX system sounds great until you start pushing them.
